Responsibilities:

• Develop next generation products & solutions for merchants and internal stakeholders, at times in partnership with external partners
• Build products for integration of services across the company
• Evolve and expand existing products, for e.g., logic for categorization of transactions and merchants into online vs. offline
• Push the thinking in resolving unstructured business problems using newer & better approaches
• Work with partners located across the globe spread across multiple business units
• Analyze and deep dive on product metrics to find opportunities for improvement
• Quick learner to understand the business and support in unstructured projects
• Leverage the power of closed loop through Amex network to make intelligent and relevant insights

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

• Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and measurement
• Ability to understand product & business in general, with a steep learning curve
• Strong analytical skills and ability to drive business insights from the data and provide actionable steps
• Knack for solving analysis questions and is curious about the same
• Effective in written and verbal communication with partners located globally
• 0-3 years of working experience in Python and Hive/SQL, as well as an understanding of statistical analysis, and common pitfalls of data analysis
• 0-3 years of experience of R/SAS/VBA coding in a business environment and willingness to learn new tools & programming Languages
• Experience with Visualization tools ( Tableau, Power BI etc ) is a plus.
• Background / Experience in Machine Learning is a plus
• Experience in Big Data techniques (i.e., PySpark, Hadoop etc.) is a plus

Qualification & Experience American Express Off Campus Drive :

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering; Masters preferred
• 0-3 Years of analytics/systems/programming/technical or project management experience
